Lazy Cat Lounge, Lowell, MA

Been there a few times, super friendly staff and the gift shop is cute. The cats are always fun to visit with… sometimes they are all crazy kitties and running around and sometimes they are lazy kitties lol. It’s always a good time hanging out with Cats ⬛

This is a very small cafe/cat-themed gift shop, with a separate room with many friendly, adoptable cats. The cafe side is open to anyone. You need to pay for a reservation to enter the cat room for a 50 minute session of enjoying cat company. All the profits go to cat sheltering and adoption This is a wonderful place for those of us who don't have a cat, or are looking for a cat to adopt - all the cats are looking for homes. I had a great time playing with an energetic tuxedo cat and stroking a soft, black longhaired cat. I highly recommend the Lazy Cat Lounge for a calming, enjoyable hour of cat!

This place was great! You can tell they really care about their cats! The cafe food/drink menu was surprisingly large. The ‘cat room’ itself was spacious and had plenty of toys for the cats to play with. All the cats were friendly and so cute!

Went today and absolutely LOVED the experience. Very cozy, decorated well, clean, and tons of space and hiding spots for the kitties if they need it. The five cats there today I believe are residents and not adoptable, and they are so incredibly sweet. Very playful and so soft and well cared for. There were 10 of us in the room which I felt was maybe a bit too many, felt a tiny bit crowded and hard to get kitty time in without feeling like I was hogging it from others. Though it did lead to some nice conversations! I also love that they close during the day for a while to give the cats a rest and sanitize the space! They were so careful with making sure everyone was sanitized going in and had booties on - its clear these cats are being very well cared for. Someone also often checked in to make sure they were doing okay. There were coloring books available and comfortable seating.. The coffee is AMAZING and I ended up getting a second one on my way out. Very reasonably priced and at a good size. The snacks are yummy too. There was tons of local art and I made sure to grab a few stickers and a cat toy, and once I have some more money I will absolutely get some of the adorable pottery. The staff was friendly and helpful as well. Everyone I spoke to was lovely. I wish there was some dedicated parking nearby but it wasn't too difficult locating a street spot. Seems like an amazing new spot and I can't wait to be back!

I had the best afternoon with four of the sweetest kitties! I would recommend arriving to the cafe earlier than your scheduled time to check out the various crafts made by local artists and buying a sweet treat/drink or two! The lemonade and sugar cookies were fantastic! The kitty room itself was spacious + cozy, and even though there were 9 other people in the room other than myself, I did not feel cramped at any point! Each staff member I encountered was also very kind and helpful. I hope this place continues to thrive and I will definitely be back soon!

Oh my goodness!! The Lazy Cat Lounge is the most perfect place for any and all cat lovers! The coffee was great and the company was even better!! Staff was warm and welcoming, and we were able to relax and enjoy our time with the sweet kitties! Thank you Lazy Cat Lounge for a wonderful way to relax and decompress!!! We will definitely be back!!

This newly cat café has four very friendly and affectionate permanent resident cats, and are working on a more regular number of adoptable kitties from local shelters. (We meet Christie, who was being adopted shortly after our visit!) Their decor is charmingly Victorian, with comfortable wingback chairs and settees, a gas fireplace, and lovely deep windowsills for the cats and guests to watch the street go by. They offered a small but pleasant variety of hot drinks, snacks, and baked goods, as well as obviously cat themed items for sale. Like any cats, the feline residents sleep often, but are open to ear scritches, lap time, and play when they're up, and gentle petting when they aren't. Great companions for some time with a cup of tea and book.

The Lazy Cat Lounge is such a gem! I have been twice now...once with only their four AMAZING resident cats, and another time with more adoptable cats. The first time, I was the only one in the room, and it was such a cozy spot to hang and pet the kitties. The second time there were a few others with me and it did not deter from the experience. All of us had chances to pet every cat that was willing to be touched (we were told there was one adoptable friend that needed to come to us instead of the other way around) and was great! The staff are so friendly and let you know all about the cats and their personalities. They also take safety very carefully--upon your first visit you'll have to sign a waiver, and they make sure that you sanitize your hands and wear shoe covers when entering the cat room. As for the cafe part, the coffee and tea selection is great! Their gift shop is also a cat lover's dream. There is quite literally something for everyone (cat or human)! Please go visit them, it's absolutely worth the trip! I cannot wait for my next visit!
